What We Do

Giving Lots launched in 2008 to offer charities and their supporters (individual and corporate) a secure, personal, professional, trusted and personal platform from which lifestyle items, £5 to £5 million, can be auctioned and sold.
The concept offers its registered users the opportunity to buy a variety of items, introducing internet consumers to the concept of GIVING BY BUYING.
What Can Giving Lots offer your charity?
One off lots
Giving Lots can auction anything for you from something as simple as a signed book or as luxurious as a five star holiday. Once the lot is uploaded we can help with marketing and PR coverage.
Online Campaigns
Giving Lots can work with your charity to create a bespoke online campaign specific to your charity’s needs. Included is a bespoke auction page, bespoke URL, advert on Giving Lots' home page, news coverage on Giving Lots and help with marketing and PR coverage.
Virtual Events
Giving Lots has developed a new concept to help charities open up their events and auctions to a larger audience whilst reducing the costs. The idea is that the charities holds any number of small events (i.e. dinner parties) across the country, which can be then linked up through the site to bid on one auction. This creates a cheaper and much larger event through the web.
Preview for live events
Previewing auction items which are going on to a live event is an almost guaranteed way to increase the total money raised. By placing all the lots on a bespoke auction page charities can expect to see bidding start before the live event take place. Giving Lots can also help provide the latest bidding technology for your silent auctions.
Charity Wish List
This facility gives charities the opportunity to ‘sell’ items required for their own charitable work and gives buyers the chance to donate directly to a charity by the purchase of (for instance) a wheelchair, children’s therapy equipment or funding for research . These items are nearly always Gift Aidable.
Cost
There is no outlay cost for charities when signing up. 15% commission is charged for every lot sold on the site, however flat fees can be arranged for larger online campaigns, virtual events and live events.
Charities Technology Trust handles payments via the site at 3% of the gross payment cost (including credit card charges).
