Dan Joel has been surfing for more than 25 years and in that time he has earned a reputation internationally as one of the best surfers in the world.  Until recently Dan was credited with having surfed the biggest wave in the UK - a staggering 40 foot wave - which he encountered on the west coast of Ireland. 

Dan now runs his own surf school www.danjoelsurf.com, based at the National Trust owned Poldu Beach in Mullion, Cornwall.  With a wealth of surfing experience Dan is offering to teach you and a friend to surf. All of the equipment you need will be provided so all you have to bring is the have-a-go spirit! 

This surfing experience could be yours and you'll be supporting the Neptune Coastline Campaign, the National Trust's longest running appeal.  

Over the past 47 years the Neptune Coastline Campaign has helped to acquire and maintain the 720 miles of coastline in England, Wales and Northern Ireland now in the care of the National Trust.  Support for the Neptune Coastline Campaign helps us to permanently preserve and enable public access to miles of our most special coastline. 

Dan Joel Surf School terms and conditions 

Participants will need to be over 8 year old (there is no upper age limit) and able to swim 50 metres.  
The day will include two 2 hour sessions (morning and afternoon) with all equipment provided. 
The Surf School is covered for public liability and accident insurance. 
Dan himself is a qualified Beach Life Guard and has a BA (Hons) in Sports Coaching.
