This beautiful elephant named E-Phant was created by Toyisten.

"The E-Phant is an electronic and energy efficient charging point created with green energy and sustainability in mind. It is in line with our major project entitled Living with Energy - the transformation of a 22 meter high spherical gas container in Emmen. Its ears are solar energy collectors that store energy and then send it off again via the socket. This sits atop the head of the elephant in the shape of a face. Just plug in and drive away... In addition, two highways run over the entirety of the elephant: a green highway that stands for environmental friendly living and a red highway with red polluting cars driving on it. The red cars are chased off the road by the green cars and swallowed up like Pac Men. The roundabouts are marked with the letter E for E-Phant (Energy Phant). The big footsteps that have been painted on the elephant in places symbolise people who are energy efficient and choose green energy. A polar bear is shown on the back of the elephant symbolising the melting of the ice caps. It’s joined by an anteater sucking up the red cars. The elephant’s tail changes into a cobra that poisons the red cars with its tongue. This elephant stands for energy efficiency and sustainability. Special feature: The elephant has solar collectors in its ears that power the surrounding 20 led bulbs."

Each elephant sculpture is made from fibreglass, with a sturdy steel structure within the legs, and weighs approximately 70kg..

At Elephant Parade's discretion, sponsors can buy their elephant at 7,000 GBP. This process will remove the elephant from the online and live auctions.

The price you pay for the elephant sculpture is including transport from The Netherlands to London Cadogan Tate's. If you have not instructed us otherwise, we will expedite your elephant to London. From there, we kindly ask you to pay for transport.

The funds raised from the sale of your elephant will go towards Elephant Family's vital work to save them from extinction in the wild.

Deze prachtige olifant heet E-Phant en is gemaakt door Toyisten.

De E-Phant is een elektronisch en energie bewust oplaadpunt in het kader van groene energie en duurzaamheid. Dit in het verlengde van ons grote project Leven met Energie - de transformatie van de 22 meter hoge gasbol in Emmen. De oren zijn zonnecollectoren die energie opslaan om vervolgens weer af te geven via het stopcontact. Deze zit bovenop de kop van de olifant in de vorm van een gezicht, in het klein zijn ze afgebeeld op de hoeven van de olifant. Inpluggen en rijden maar...Over de hele olifant lopen snelwegen met daarop twee kleuren autootjes - de groene kleur staat symbool voor schoon en milieu vriendelijk, de rode autootjes zijn de vervuilers die worden opgejaagd door de groene. Als Pac Man worden de rode autootjes van de weg gedrukt en opgegeten.De rotondes zijn geschilderd in de letter E (E-Phant = Energy Phant).De groene voetstappen die her en der op de olifant zijn geschilderd staan symbool voor mensen die bewust omgaan met energie en kiezen waar mogelijk voor groene energie.Achterop de olifant zien we een grote ijsbeer als metafoor voor het smelten van de ijskappen. Maar niet alleen een ijsbeer, ook zien we in de poot van deze ijsbeer een miereneter opduiken, alleen zuigt deze geen mieren maar vervuilde (rode) autootjes op.De staart verandert in een cobra die met zijn tong de rode auto's probeert te vergiftigen.Deze olifant staat voor bewust omgaan met energie en duurzaamheid. Bijzonderheid: De grote olifant heeft in haar oren zonnecollectoren die de omringende 20 ledlampjes kan laten branden."

In onze steeds voller wordende wereld is er eenvoudigweg niet meer voldoende ruimte voor de Aziatische olifant. Uw deelname aan Elephant Parade helpt ons hier wat aan te doen. De kunstolifant is gemaakt van fiberglas, versterkt met een stalen frame in de poten van de olifant. De olifant weegt ± 70kg.

Elephant Parade biedt sponsors de mogelijkheid hun olifant voorafgaand aan de veiling af te kopen voor een bedrag van 7,000 GBP, daarom kunnen sommige van deze olifanten niet meer in de veiling worden aangeboden.

In Emmen blijven de olifanten opgeslagen tot 11 september.
Wij maken u erop attent dat uw olifant voor 12 september dient te zijn opgehaald indien u de olifant niet laat thuisbezorgen.

Wij raden u aan eerst de voorwaarden door te nemen voordat u gaat bieden.
