World Horse Welfare encourages a world where the horse is used, but never abused, and is a leading international equine welfare charity. It campaigns for better legislation to protect horses, has four recovery and rehabilitation centres in the UK, monitors more than 2,000 horses rehomed via its loan scheme, employs 16 field officers to investigate welfare complaints in the UK and provides educational courses to combat the major causes of equine suffering in the developing world.
