The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK-wide charity, dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. 1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men, over the age of 50 will break a bone, mainly due to osteoporosis. We provide a Helplines Service, a network of over 100 Support Groups all over the UK and free publications and information for people affected by osteoporosis. Our vision is a future without fragility fractures. We also fund medical research projects and develop important campaigns to raise awareness of osteoporosis.
