War hero Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC first opened his own home to people in need of care back in 1948. His vision was simple yet powerful: it's what you can do that matters, not what you can't.  This vision hasn't lost its relevance as the charity continues to provide direct support to over 21,000 disabled people in the UK and many thousands more worldwide.

Its is our aim to have a positive impact on the lives of millions - to deliver new and innovative services with disabled people and to change attitudes to disability globally.
