Hop Skip and Jump Swindon offers flexible, immediate (this makes us unique) and sustained Day Care for parents and carers of children with all types of special needs: physical, learning, emotional and environmental disabilities.  By focussing on play therapy the children are given the opportunity to build up their confidence, social skills and self-esteem.  Parents have a place to go and be where there is no staring or sneering, or they can leave their child in a caring environment to spend time with the rest of the family.

Hop Skip and Jump Swindon is the most recent centre to be opened by the Hop Skip and Jump Foundation, and will open its doors to the families of Swindon and Wiltshire on 15th July 2011.  Hop Skip and Jump was established in 1982 opening its first centre at Seven Springs, Cheltenham.  In 2003 Hop Skip and Jump South-West was opened at Kingswood, Bristol, and almost 31,000 visitors use the two centres a year.

The Centres are open a minimum of five days a week and are funded almost entirely by donations and project grants.  Hop Skip and Jump receives no statutory funding and never relies on one form of funding, this has always been HSJ’s policy and is used to ensure our sustainability.
